Quiz Maker Funnel

Build your own custom quiz from scratch with personality matching or score-based results.

Last updated 1 day ago

What is the Quiz Maker?

The Quiz Maker lets you create a fully custom quiz tailored to your audience. Unlike pre-built templates, you write the questions, choose answer types, and define the outcomes yourself. Pick between two scoring models: personality matching (which profile fits best?) or score-based tiers (how did they score?).

Why it works: A quiz written around your specific methodology feels personal. When someone takes a quiz that feels like it was made for them, they trust the results more and they trust you more. Custom quizzes consistently convert higher than generic lead magnets.

Perfect for:

  • Life coaches

  • Business coaches

  • Health and wellness coaches

  • Fitness coaches

  • Course creators

  • Anyone who wants a quiz that matches their unique offers

Choosing a Scoring Model

Before you start building questions, pick one of two scoring models. This choice determines how results are calculated.

Personality Matching

Each answer option maps to one of your outcome profiles. The quiz counts which profile got the most answers and shows that result.

Best for:

  • "What type of [X] are you?" quizzes

  • Segmenting your audience into groups

  • Matching leads to specific offers or programs

Example: A life coach creates profiles like "The Overachiever," "The People-Pleaser," and "The Perfectionist." Each answer maps to one of these profiles. The lead's most-matched profile becomes their result.

Score-Based Tiers

Each answer option has a point value (0-10). The quiz adds up the points and places the total into a tier you define with custom score ranges.

Best for:

  • Knowledge assessments

  • Readiness evaluations

  • Skill-level checks

  • "How much do you know about [X]?" quizzes

Example: A fitness coach creates tiers like "Beginner" (0-15 points), "Intermediate" (16-30), and "Advanced" (31-50). Each answer awards different points based on fitness knowledge.

What Your Leads See

During the Quiz

One question per screen, mobile-friendly layout. Text or image answer options displayed as tappable cards.

The Results

Personality Matching results show:

  • Profile icon and name

  • Match percentage

  • Profile image (if you added one)

  • Profile description

  • "What's Next" section with your 3 tips

Score-Based results show:

  • Tier icon and name

  • Total score (e.g., "24/50") with percentage

  • Score progress bar

  • All tier ranges so they can see where they landed

  • Tier description

  • "What's Next" section with your 3 tips

The result screen is where the real value happens. When your tips are specific and useful, leads think "this person really gets me" and are far more likely to open your follow-up emails.

Tips for Success

1. Write Questions Around Your Methodology

Generic quizzes get generic results. The more your questions reflect your actual coaching framework, the more your leads will trust the outcome.

2. Make the Tips Actionable

"Exercise more" is forgettable. "Do a 10-minute morning walk before checking your phone" sticks. Write tips your leads can act on today.

3. Use Image Answers When Possible

Visual answers get higher engagement than text-only. Search Pexels or Unsplash for relevant photos that make each option feel distinct.

4. Match Outcomes to Your Offers

If you have different programs, packages, or services, align your quiz outcomes with them. "The Strategist" gets pointed toward your group coaching. "The Dreamer" gets your self-paced course.

5. Send Results via Email

Set up an automatic email with the {{Results}} placeholder. Your leads get their full profile or score breakdown in their inbox, keeping the conversation going.

6. Keep It Under 7 Questions

Shorter quizzes have higher completion rates. You can add up to 10 questions, but 5-7 is the sweet spot for most audiences.
